Andrey Muguev


Mr. Andrey Muguev is a dedicated Supply Chain Expert with over 20 years’ experience, including 17 years in leadership role. He is adept in business process improvement and cost savings. Mr. Muguev’s Supply Chain experience predominantly consists of supporting McDonald’s business development in Ukraine and CIS countries, where he refined his skills in Inbound and outbound Logistics, Contingency plans development; Demand Planning; Formalizing Policies to make process transparent and controlled; Transforming company’s logistics strategies into tactical action plans; 3PL selection and management; ERP data management; Supply Chain team development.

At the last place of work, Mr. Muguev serves as the Director of Logistics, where he manages and coordinates all activities involved in the import process; warehousing and distribution; order management; Stock Control; Cross functional teams management; WMS project and Distribution Center Capacity extension preparation and execution. Mr. Muguev has an Executive MBA Degree from Kyiv Mohyla Business School + Kellogg (Northwestern University), and is fluent in English and a native speaker of Russian and Ukrainian. Manage and coordinate all activities involved in Process of product movement from suppliers to the Point of Sale (POS). Responsible for demand forecasting; order placement; custom clearance; warehousing and goods distribution. Within short period of time significant gap in Inventory control was indentified. It allow to reduce inventory level and decrease a need in Working capital by 15%.The best practices in supplier selections were implemented. New approach for Budgeting was applied. Warehouses space was optimized (due to consolidation) with further warehousing cost decrease by 20%. Formalized work of cross functional team. In order to utilize benefits of Internet base Tender application (APS) and speedup the process of new POSs openings without stress on the business Company Purchasing Policy was redesigned with purchasing process re-engineering. Logistic department stricture was changed in order to strength control over the functions. New personal was recruited. Supervise direct reports – 6 persons.

Supplier contracts management allowed minimizing the need in working capital by 23%.

Goods assortment optimization led to warehousing cost decrease by 32 %. Inventory control system was rolled out at the lot level. The Best Practices in Logistics were implemented at Warehouse level. Key processes were determined; formalized over Procedures. Warehouse audit was implemented. Systematic suppliers sourcing allowed bringing exclusive products to the market. Stock turnover level, point of order were automated and improved.

Led the team in order to provide assured product supply. Strategic planning based on company strategy. Execution of Supply Chain strategies over developing tactical action plans resulted in gradual F@P Cost decrease over 3% during 3 years period. Supplier Performance Index (SPI) process was applied to the key suppliers that resulted in product quality improvement and Total Cost reduction. Achievements:

1 Warehousing: Kiev HUB performance development (to move to the “Top 3 in Europe” based on KPIs performance; Sub DC strategy development over opening seasonal DC in Simferopol and Odessa with relevant distribution cost decrease).

2 Global Sourcing: Protein items supply was realized with direct impact on Cost of Business decrease over 2%.
